Boo! Did I scare you?

Ok so it's Halloween and every year, I celebrate it by watching scary/magical movies. I know it's not very exciting. xD

Anyways, so I re-watched Freaky Friday and I watched Paranormal Activity 3 with Chin at my house yesterday. Today I watched Paranormal Activity 4 with Xiao Tian at the cinema theater. I must say I expected more...the storyline was pretty similar to PA3. The funny part is that there were only 10 or 11 people in the theatre. And all of us were sitting at the back row. HAHA. Would've loved it if An had come 'cause I invited him but he didn't check his phone. :( He only checked it after the movie was over.

So I am eating plums and a banana for dinner. And sipping a cup of coffee. Diet for the win. Problem is I can't stick to it.

Anyways, check out Bridgit Mendler. Been a fan of her since she was in Lemonade Mouth but she finally escaped from Disney and has her first album for mainstream radio. The songs Hurricane, Ready or Not, and 5:15 are must listens.

Had PW oral presentation today, in front of a new teacher so all of us got quite nervous. Not good. Will have to try and be brave for the actual one. Anyways, after the movie I was queuing up for bus number 198 and guess who joined me at the queue? Miss JUNE! She's one of the teacher's in charge of the Emcee course I took last time! And she's the one who just recently gave me my first opportunity as an Emcee! I will be doing it next year. Will update with my experiences when the time comes. I always complain that I don't get enough opportunities so I better not screw up when I DO get a chance to host!

Miss June and I were both going to alight at the JJC bus stop so I chatted with her all the way about movies, good GP teachers vs. Bad GP teachers etc. There's something about her, she's so approachable. :)

Anyways, I am going to go watch a Bollywood movie on Funshion now. Ciao. :)

Mother Tongue A Level & Hurricane Sandy

Had my Mother Tongue A Level today and...it didn't go too well. I studied the ENTIRE book of idioms and there was 120 of them. 2 were tested from there for today's paper. The other two idioms...I have never seen before in my life. The last one...I had seen it before but it wasn't from the book which I studied so I forgot what it meant. There goes my six marks. And then the vocab and sentence construction was shitty too. :(

Never mind, I just want to pass. I will get As for my PCML next year. :) I thought I would be the only Bengali taking the paper in JJC but there was another girl too! She's in J2 but she's retaking the paper 'cause she flunked it last year. She seemed so sweet, I would love to be friends with her :D Unfortunately...I didn't even ask for her name and I can't remember her class. I just know that she takes Arts.

I was supposed to watch Paranormal Activity 4 with Chin after my exam but he messaged me and said that he couldn't make it because he had a stomach ache. So there went my plans. Besides, I was looking forward to meeting Chin because I was about to disclose two of my deepest darkest secrets to him. But maybe today's plan was foiled because it wasn't meant to be. Maybe I'll just take them to my grave. The reason I chose to tell Chin out of all my other friends is because I think he is the only one who can relate..I THINK.

So instead, I went to get new glasses with mom. My current one is totally scratched. Can't wait to get my new ones tomorrow. An was suggesting that I should get cat-eyed ones. Haha, his suggestion came a bit too late. Besides, it wouldn't suit my round face. Speaking of An, he recently dressed up as a nun for Halloween, he looked awesome xD If a guy can pull off the nun look, he can :D

I don't feel like doing my I & R, screw PW alr. :(

Anyways. Watch the next few videos. I laughed until I teared. I love these people.

Now onto a more serious topic, Hurricane Sandy. It's horrible :( And I know it affected those in New York, and my Aunt stays there. I just hope she is safe!! Will ask mom to call her up tomorrow. May the Lord be with her. And the rest of America.

Sicko

SO recently my General Paper teacher Mr Shermann had shown us a documentary film called Sicko. It was his last lesson with us for the year and in my opinion, he couldn't have chosen a better film to leave us with. I know the title sounds perverted but it's the SICK they are focusing on. Guess the title was cleverly used to get attention;

Ok so what the documentary focused on is the difference between the Healthcare systems in the US of A and the healthcare systems in the Britain, France, Italy and even Cuba. This might seem boring but it really struck a chord with me. I love the UK's NHS system and no, the quality of healthcare isn't as bad as they make it out to be. Maybe instead of shifting to America in the future I will shift to the UK. We'll see how it goes.

Perks of Being a Wallflower

On Tuesday night, instead of doing my homework, I stayed up till 1.30 am to read The Perks of Being a Wallflower because I was supposed to watch the movie with Brielle and Wendy at the cinema at Jcube the next day.

The movie was awesome!! Totally touching and I can relate a lot.

                                                             The heartbreaks
"I'm really in love with Sam and it hurts very much..." - Charlie

                                                 The friendship problems
                                                       The family issues

A very unfortunate thing happened though, and I had to rush back home immediately after catching the movie because of that. However, I felt guilty of leaving Brielle and Wendy 'cause we had been planning the movie outing for so long and we rarely see Brielle since he is in ACJC. Thankfully, they followed me to wherever I needed to go.

Ok fine, I shall not be secretive. I had to comfort a friend because she retained. :( Sigh, why does it happen to all the nice people?

But life's not over, I am sure she will come back more hardworking next year.

                                                        The Amazing Trio :D

7 Things You Should Know About Me

1. I used to have a brother...Peter. He was older than me by seven years. He, unfortunately passed away in his infancy. My mother does not like to talk about it much, so I am unsure about the cause of his death. I just know it had something to do with milk. Choking maybe? Damn, I would have liked to have an older brother.

2. My crushes ALWAYS find out I am crushing on them. Some find out through me, some find out through my friends. Wendy disclosed two of them in secondary school. Thanks a lot dear. At first it is always awkward, but then we become friends after that. For most cases. There are some losers that just can't bear to be in my presence after that. But to hell with these kind of losers eh?

3. I have been in love before. For real. In Secondary school. But it was unrequited so this topic depresses me. I shan't elaborate any further.

4. I have read Fifty Shades of Grey. Not the whole thing, just pages 77 to 94, which basically is a ___ scene. I was bored one day, and decided to read that book for fun. I had read pages 1 to 10 before and found it rather boring. So I flipped to page 77 because 7 is my lucky number. And Viola! They were talking about signing a contract between them so that no one else except them finds out that they are going to do "that thing". -.- So I was like, who the hell signs a contract about such things? And somehow I kept reading...and couldn't stop. SO whatever little purity I had, I lost it all as I read the next pages. :( Curiosity and too much time on its hand, killed the cat.

5. I almost turned to the dark side when I was young. You see, I met this guy on Habbo Hotel last time. He told me he is a Satanist, and that he can control the four elements. And that he can tap into black magic. I don't know what got into me, but I tried to do whatever he told me to do so that I can control the elements too. I know it involved meditating a lot. Then one day I got scared and snapped out of it, prayed to God for forgiveness and stopped talking to that Habbo guy. Ps. He was my longest Habbo relationship, and I had become emotionally attached. So it was pretty hard withdrawing from him. :( Haha!

6. I want to either be a singer or the editor of a fashion magazine. I am not a brilliant vocalist and neither do I have incredible fashion taste so I wonder how and if I will even achieve these dreams. Sigh. There are other things I don't mind being either. Like, an Author or an English teacher. But it HAS to be in the media or creative industry. NO engineering or whatever for me.

7. I REALLY am  obsessed with the idea of living in America. My aunt lives in New York so I really want to shift to her house after A Levels so that I can apply to an University over there. :) Fingers crossed that this can actually happen :)

Random post

Went to Jurong Point with Judy today after school to buy something. Shan't reveal what it was here. :P Then after that she came to my house.
Anyways, I was flipping through the newspapers today and guess who was mentioned in it? There was an article on the comedy scene in Singapore and my emcee coach Mr Rishi was mentioned in it. :D
"Rishi Budharani, who won the 2012 Hong Kong Comedy Competition...first comedian to win an international competition outside of Singapore"

You go Mr Rishi! :D

No School! :D

There was no school today, yay! Went to Jurong East with mom in the morning and bought some new clothes and stuff. :) And then Fuxuan came over to my house in the afternoon after her dance practice and we watched Mirror Mirror together on Funshion. We're late, I know. But I must say it's a feel-good movie that everyone should watch. The Bollywood themed song and dance at the end was unexpected but fun xD

Also, I watched Cocktail yesterday and I ADORE that movie. The cast was awesome, the location of the film, the storyline...everything was amazing. Totally my type of Romance movie. Thumbs up :D

The results of the X Factor TOP 16 who are going to the Live Shows was released today and I am pretty satisfied, most of my favorites got in. Except for Nick Youngerman...I was kinda disappointed/bummed that he did not get in but Willie did. Oh well, I guess Willie deserves the chance too. That being said, Nick should TOTALLY come back again next year and try to make it to the live shows. I believe he will have a big fan base.

The promotional exercise results are going to be out tomorrow. I really do hope I make it to J2. Fingers crossed. I passed everything overall so I SHOULD be safe. Really hope all my friends and classmates make it out alive with me too. It wouldn't be the same with anyone missing. :(

Wendy and I are applying for jobs during the holidays. :) Love the feeling of earning money ._. And of course, the experience would look good on my resume in the future. Just hope that I can manage my holiday homework and revision AND the job at the same time.
