Common Test Preparation

Hey everybody! I hope your common test preparations have been going well! I think this was my most productive holiday so far and YET I haven't finished revision for any subject yet -.-

Been a bit distracted recently because Mabel and I joined this competition to win tickets to watch Haha (from Running Man) and Skull's first showcase here in Singapore. Thanks to everyone who voted though, I really appreciate it. Mabel and I are at the top 2 positions now :) So happy~

Ok not much time to blog already, just wanted to wish everybody all the best for common tests! FIGHT ON! 

Sushi date

Went to the Sushi restaurant at Jcube with Wang Ru(Mabel), Chin, Darren and Wan Ling. Although I don't like sushi so I ate very few :X 

I tried this awesome flavor called Avocado-Mango. Didn't expect it to taste so good! I am gonna drool just thinking of it. LOL. 

It felt good to meet up with the whole secondary school gang after so long. :)

Looking forward to the next outing alr! 

Singing

There was an open mike in Jurong West and it's going to continue till 13 June. I personally have something against that date. Anyways, let's not digress. Mabel and I went to perform today! :) Both of us performed live for the first time without any other purposes like auditioning for some singing competition or with the choir. It was for pure exposure :)

And I must say we did pretty well. We were both nervous but based on what I saw, I couldn't see that Mabel was scared. She acted calm pretty well :D And according to her I didn't seem one bit nervous either! Three cheers for US!

I sang Breakeven by The Script and she sang The One That Got Away by Katy Perry. According to my knowledge, I know I got every single note right. So I am satisfied :) I am a perfectionist when it comes to certain matters, and being a choir member for 6 years has made me a stickler for getting the notes right. The only sad thing is that none of our friends were there to watch us =/

But that doesn't matter. We sang so that we get exposure and we both did good and that's all that matters! Mabel told me this was the best I ever sang on stage! :) Will do this again after As! Time to concentrate on studying now. Had too much fun this holidays already. Means I haven't been studying :/

The Final One Live

Last Wednesday, Brielle, Judy, Mazi, Mabel, Zhiqi, Wendy, Shamira and I went to watch the Final One. Here are some pictures:

The Awesome Threesome 

  I must say we had some trouble finding the Mediacorp Studio and had to change several buses just to get there. LOL. Thanks Judy and Mabel for being such awesome navigators and so skillful at using Google Map. Without you guys, we would all be lost and late for the event! To anyone going there in the future, the best route would be from Farrer Park MRT station, there is a direct bus from there! :) 

The stupid thing is that in the midst of being lost, it started to drizzle and most of us did not bring an umbrella. -.- 

Anyways, upon reaching there I saw Mardiana, my ex Fuhua senior who is a supporter of Jean, a contestant of The Final One, and is also a close friend of hers. :) And guess what? We got really good seats despite the fact that we were kinda late! Brielle, Wendy and I got front row seats!! And the others were either in the 2nd, 3rd or 4th row, so all of us had a really good view! And yes, we all appeared on TV several times. :D 5 seconds of fame. HAHA

The contestants who performed that day were pretty good! My personal faves were Louisa and Glen! I liked Rico in the previous round but felt that he chose the wrong song to sing that day :/ I voted for Glen at the end of the show. We didn't stay to watch the results show though, most of us had to go home. 

I wanted to get a photo with Taufik but he went backstage before I could chase after him. WHAT A WASTE OMG :( Nvm, AT LEAST I GOT A PHOTO WITH HARRIS. *spasms*

I know he doesn't look that appealing in this picture but it's just the lighting ok, he is normally very handsome. Judy and I were spasming when we saw him! THANK YOU MAZI AND ZHIQI FOR HELPING US BY APPROACHING HIM TO ASK IF WE CAN TAKE A PHOTO WITH HIM. LOVE U. We(Judy and I) were being wimps and didn't dare to ask -.- It would have been such a regret if we missed the chance.

Anyways, all in all, it was a great day. Had lots of fun and laughter and new experiences. :) 

Operation Nair and Brielle's performance!

Almost forgot to mention this! On Friday, before the sports meet, we successfully carried out Operation Nair! In other words we surprised her with our birthday gift! :) 

                              

Then yesterday, on Saturday, Wendy and I went to the shopping mall near Stadium mrt to watch Brielle's first outdoor performance! :) we missed his first two songs tho :( we were late Cus we accidentally got off at the wrong mrt station! Dumbos~ 

For his second performance he sang Just give me a Reason by Pink and Domino by Jessie J! Both songs are  tough to sing but he hit every single note so hats off Brielle! He keeps growing as a performer! :) I would upload the video of him singing but the uploading takes FOREVER so a picture of him will have to do :/ 

My initial plan was to get him a flower because that's what ppl usually get for their friends when they perform on stage, especially roses! But because we couldn't find a florist at the mall, we had to settle for a spongebob balloon! Wendy insists that it's cute but since I am not a spongebob person I shall remain quiet on this topic XD and we attached a card to the balloon, congratulating him on his first performance. 

His parents and two brothers, Bjorn and Barrichello were there too. I hope I spelled the names right. LOL. After the performance he told us that he was actually nervous but it wasn't obvious at all during the performance!! The mark of a true blue performer :)
